iSummit in sapporo, japan, end july, was a great experience. really well organised and lots of good talks. and the amazing food in “ramen alley”! (thanks for leading the hunt gautam)

we actually had to rehearse the keynotes, especially how and when to enter and leave the stage - to make it easier for the live video broadcasts. the resulting video recordings are nicely made and finally available. here’s my talk. i need to stop saying “um”.

sometimes a different perspective is everything. with a fixed 100mm-equivalent lens on my camera i had to zoom with my feet. and without going too far back, i found the ideal profile picture for the 93-ton buddha in kamakura, japan. and yes, i do think i am ee cummings.
